We’re looking for a Principal User Researcher that cares deeply about user-centred design, incremental lean product delivery, and happy users. It's a chance to work in a maturing SaaS business with a rapidly expanding customer base, launched in three continents and five countries. With annual revenue in excess of £20M, over 86,000 customers and 300,000 active monthly users, our product set is developing rapidly in core areas and new adjacent areas too. You'll be responsible for ensuring our customers - both current and future - are represented in decisions about the product.
What you'll be doing
BrightHR has a strong user experience and design team which also incorporates user research. We rely heavily on user research to adjust our product direction and iterate all our features, favouring delivering an MVP and seeking feedback from our customers. We have a co-located service and sales team and a highly-engaged leadership team, resulting in an energetic commercial environment that relies on research, strong delivery, measurement and iteration. You’ll be working across seven autonomous cross-functional product teams who have all the skills required to build super products, ensuring that our users' needs have influence. You will direct our teams to deliver best practice in user research and build a world-class capability.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Principal User Researcher able to positively influence the direction and help us define the future for user research. You will be able to coach and mentor the teams and engage, inform, and negotiate with a diverse and senior set of stakeholders. We want someone who can understand the needs of our customers and make decisions based on high volumes of data. You’ll love collaborating, particularly with designers and delivery teams, and being part of turning your vision into great products. You’ll need to be understand when to drive research and how to deliver information to make decisions rapidly.
